In 2008, Francisco’s Farm Arts Festival at Midway College commissioned Midway artist Carol Bowles to create an original painting to represent the spirit of this award-winning Festival.

The result was a unique and colorful perspective of Marrs Hall, one of the oldest buildings on the campus of Midway College, rendered in Carol’s mythical style with our tie-dyed banners and our beloved Bluegrass symbols of horses and fencing.

The prints appeared in advertisements, on T-shirts, on reusable cotton Art Totes, and on promotional postcards, posters, and bookmarks.

The response to Carol's creation was overwhelming, with many requests for prints, and frequent exclamations of "What a perfect design for an Arts Festival in Magical Midway!"

As a result, the Planning Committee not only commissioned Carol to create our 2009 Official Festival Artwork, but determined to make both years' commissions available to enthusiasts and collectors as a limited edition of 100 signed, numbered prints.

In 2009 Carol turned her eye toward the beautiful Anne Hart Raymond Center, the newest building on campus.

The first pair of framed prints was presented to Dr. William Drake, Jr., President of Midway College, in appreciation of his generous support of the Festival from the very beginning.

The remaining prints of each year's artwork are now available to the public while supplies last.

Individual Prints, with mat, backing, and sleeve ~ available for $45 each ~ 2008 or 2009
