What are Tapas?

The last Tuesday of each month,
Midway's Holly Hill Inn offers Tapas ~ small dishes from the Mediterranean. Each dish is full flavored and inexpensively priced, and unlike other evenings, every plate is sold a la carte. You can eat one handmade empanada filled with Elmwood’s organic picadillo for or you and a couple of friends can eat everything on the menu. Look for gambas a la pil pil — shrimp sautéed with smoked paprika, garlic, sherry, lemon and parsley — every month, but all the other dishes roll with the flow of their kitchen and what’s coming off the farms. Holly Hill’s wine list has earned the coveted Wine Spectator Award of Excellence annually since 2002 and, as always, they have a full bar of top-shelf liquor.
April's Tapas Tuesday will offer 'special edition' versions of many dishes, served in hand-made pottery
to take home with you!

The Inn offers fine dining in an historic country setting just minutes from Lexington.

Tapas are priced from $3.50 to $10, and prices vary for the special edition Tapas on hand-made pottery.

Bill & Leslie Penn performing Music for the evening will be provided by Bill & Leslie Penn ~ local favorites who own and operate the Historic Midway Museum Store. Bill and Leslie often entertain their customers as they shop. Bill plays a mean fiddle, mandolin, and guitar. Leslie plays the flute and other wind instruments. They're wonderful musicians (who also perform at Francisco's Farm.....).

"Francisco's Farm has fast become the premiere art and craft event of the Bluegrass,
