Each year our Founding Gallery Partner, Mike Stutland, brings a presentation sure to please. From his National Kaliedoscope Exhibition to an All Equine Art Showcase, the annual 'Pop Art' Exhibit has become a favorite among visitors to Francisco's Farm.
This year Artique showcases artists who create their work from recycled, repurposed, reclaimed, or sustainably harvested natural materials.

Mixed Media artist, Ken Roberts,
uses scrap metal in his sculptures |
"They all start as a block of wood," says Ken. "After carving them into different shapes, I start covering them with metal. Most of the metal is scrap that I find where ever I can. I love the rusted metal and the different colors and textures that are created with combined with aluminum, copper, and brass." |
Take home a Creative Expression of the Green Spirit |
Artique is definitely "not just a gallery", but a community partner in promoting the arts. Stutland maintains a full schedule of artist demonstrations at his Lexington Galleries, both in the Civic Center downtown and at his Lexington Green location.
Among the many awards earned by Artique is the Commonwealth's most distinguished award for Outstanding Support of the Arts -
the Governor's Award in the Arts - Business Award bestowed in 2005. |
