Midway's Community Garden

The Rules

1 - TAKE FROM THE GARDEN

This garden is for every one who is hungry....
Hungry for food, hungry for nature, hungry for community, hungry for new creation.

Pick what you eat, eat what you pick

And give some to others who are hungry, too.

2 - GIVE TO THE GARDEN

Give back to the garden. If you take some food, give some time. Weed, tend, rake, deliver, water, love the plants that are in it.

Come and work anytime you can.

Community Work Days are every Saturday at 10am

3 - ENJOY THE GARDEN

Take a deep breath. Dig in the dirt. Smell. Touch. Listen.

Explore and wonder at the amazing way that things grow.

This garden is for the Community

Welcome!

What Grows?

strawberries, lettuce, onions, herbs, corn, beets, beans, zucchini, eggplant, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, broccoli, watermelon, cantaloupe, cucumbers, corn, kale, radishes, mustard greens, collard greens, turnips, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, sunflowers, sweet potatoes, marigolds, zinnias....

The Community Garden 'Rain Barrel Art' was created by Francisco's Farm Arts Festival visitors in 2009. Midway Renaissance Greenspace Committee facilitated the installation, and Fortune Collision Center in Frankfort donated their services to top-coat the barrels so the artwork will be preserved.
